In NSW, the government requires everyone who operates a powered vessel, that can travel at speeds of 10 knots or more (that's an outboard, about 4-6hp) must hold a NSW General boating licence to legally operate the vessel.

Since 2002, we have been proudly providing boat licensing courses to groups and individuals. We also have a fantastic team of professional and qualified trainers who really care and empathise with you, to gain your General Boat Licence.

Completing a NSW General Boat Licence course with Sea School International on the NSW Central Coast will give you the knowledge to successfully complete and pass your NSW General Boating Licence, in a safe and supportive environment.

Sea School Central Coast provides a comprehensive face-to-face, step-by-step, presentation for all their boat licence and PWC licence courses in their own training centre.

It is not a requirement to study before the course, but should you want to pre-read or study beforehand, you can download a copy here- Boating handbook. This Learner's guide also includes a list of study questions known as the 'Boating Knowledge Quiz'.

You can also add PWC to your course registration and complete both theory and exam courses during the same session. To learn about PWC / jet ski operations, download the Roads and Maritime Services Personal Watercraft Handbook.
