Boating Is More Than Just Fun — It’s a Responsibility
Boating offers more than just fun and freedom—it’s an escape, a way to connect with nature, unwind from daily pressures, and share unforgettable moments with family and friends. But with increasing numbers of boats on our waterways, the risk of accidents like collisions, capsizing, and swamping also grows.
That’s why it’s crucial to build not only confidence, but real competence on the water.
Since June 1st, 2009, NSW law requires anyone over 12 operating a powered vessel at 10 knots or more to complete both theory and practical training before obtaining a boat licence. That means even a small outboard (around 5-6hp) requires formal skills.
The smart and safe decision? Choose a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and enrol in an accredited Boat Licence Course. You’ll gain the practical experience and emergency response skills needed to protect your crew, your vessel—and yourself.
